2D RPG: The Story / Playing the Game

The story of my RPG is based around a kid looking for his parents in the arctic mountains. The main character stumbles across this town where bystanders say they saw two people wondering as if they are lost. Throughout the game, the main character will go through obstacles and terrifying bosses in an attempt to find his mother and father.

The game starts off in this little house where this nice old lady lets the main character sleep for the night. As you can see, the old lady is consoling you, and saying that you will find your parents soon. In the chest you find 10 coins and an extra heart.

As you go through the town. It is obvious that word has spread about you looking for your parents...

With only your ice pick in hand, you decided to venture in the first cave. The guards tell you this cave is pretty much a dead end, however it is a good training area. The caves more southern are much harder and require powerful weapons that you must obtain before entering.

Those guards were right, these monster aren't too hard, but if there is any rise in difficulty, you will need better weapons. After killing a couple of ice blobs and ice bats you collect a good amount of money.

After getting a good amount of money, and buying snowballs, and the magic wand, you are ready for the new area. Before you enter, the guard warns you that he has never seen someone return form going into that cave. With full health and a good amount of weapons, you are ready.

Before attempting the yeti boss, the guard would like to warn you that he has never lost a battle. Even with this warning you still power through and challenge King Yeti. This is all for your parents.

King Yeti has been defeated! Time to move on to the final monster area in the attempt to find your long lost parents!

Before even seeing the final boss, the mobs before him is already really overwhelming. There are about 25 bats running rampant. This is going to take a lot of time and kiting around the area to even clear up to the final boss.

You did it! You cleared all the bats up to the final boss which is a giant ice bat. With the final room in your site you are more prepared than ever to be hopefully reunited with your parents.

Bat boss down! You killed the hardest boss in the whole mountain! The final cave is right there and you are about to walk through, you have been dreaming of this day. Who will be on the other side? Only one way to find out...

And there it is! You found your parents! Its all over. Thank you for playing my game and I hope it was as enjoyable as it was making it. Thanks for playing.
